     My Darling Clementine at three months.

Clemmie is a tri color, intact, purebred and triple registered intact female. Clem is from Indiana and she is predominantly Beebe, Mohn's, Anderson and IT'ZA lines.  She has whelped twice with big litters of 10 and 12 pups. All her pups are placed and we have references available on request if you wish to speak with any of the pup's new owners.

We have been following Clem's litters as they mature. So far, these puppies are exhibiting strong working traits. They are biddable and intelligent. Most are working stock and tend to be a bit gritty therefore we try to place our pups in working farm settings only and with a new owner that has had experience with herding dogs and/or are strong minded individuals. These intelligent pups will sometimes 'challenge' an owner and the owner must be prepared to exhibit his Alpha role!

At 4 months, Clementine clearly is at rest with her Rhode Island Reds. At this age she is already showing instinctual herding and gathering by putting them away in their coop at night.

She is a 'take charge' gal. Next to us, she is currently 'alpha' on our farm. She routinely 'bosses' our other two males, one younger and one older than she. If the younger seems to be putting himself at risk she will 'roll him' and correct his behavior. These days this is no longer necessary as everyone just naturally drops and rolls on their backs when she walks in the room.....just kidding!!! lol

 Clemmie's personality has a more serious tone to it than Skipper. She can be somewhat 'aloof' and is not a 'huggy-kissy' dog. Clem is independent. Physically, she is also extremely fast and agile, lean and lanky, whereas Skip is all brawn and not quite as fast as her. She knows and obeys all commands respectfully.

Below, as Skip looks on, Clem shows deep concern for her charges as depicted in this picture of the newly hatched farm ducks. English Shepherds are very good at showing their emotions!

At 4 months she lovingly 'tags' her dad to get in line with the sheep! LOL

He was chosen (based on his personality and pedigree) as Clementine's lifelong breeding mate. They are the perfect 'couple'! : )  (Below-Age 9 months and Skip age 3 months)

Clem is MDR1 normal/normal. Clem has enjoyed excellent health with no illness. Her adult weight is 45-50 lbs. Her pups are large with males now weighing around 75-85lbs at one year of age.

Clem has been highly socialized with children. During her first year I took her everywhere with me; my elderly parent's house, to farm markets and yard sales,  long walks in the city park and downtown. She loves riding in the car!
